    What types of home help can you get?

    Home Help (or Domestic Assistance) is the usual household tasks that you may be struggling to complete unaided such as doing your washing and hanging it out, ironing shirts, vacuuming or mopping the floors, doing the dishes, dusting, preparing meals and essential shopping.

    Accessing the Service

    You may be referred by a Needs Assessment and Service Coordination (NASC) agency on behalf of the Ministry of Health, through ACC or you may also pay personally for any service not available through other funding agencies.

    acc.gifACC in some circumstances can fund assistance for up to six weeks when you have been assessed as having a need of support following an injury or surgery.
